Learn how they improved operational efficiency, reduced platform complexity, and strengthened protection for the critical systems safeguarding the retirement and life savings of millions of Australians.
I'm James Ng.
I'm the Chief Information Security Officer at Insignia Financial and we're a diversified wealth management organisation.
We have a number of capabilities including asset management, superannuation, financial advice and platforms, and we intrinsically look after the retirement and wealth of millions of Australians.
That's really critical in terms of the role that we play in being able to provide a safe and trusted environment, but also protect those life savings of everyone as well.
Privileged access management is a key challenge across most organizations.
That's really important because it provides a key foundational control and in in terms of how we protect our key and critical assets.
But it's also a key requirement from a regulatory perspective.
We're being transitioning a lot from on premise to cloud.
So ensuring that the Pam solution is able to make those needs and integrate with the hyperscalers and also modern technology is really important.
The ultimate aim for us was to reduce operational overheads and inefficiencies, get consolidation and ideally a single pane of glass for us to be able to manage our key privileged identities and credentials.
Success for us when we're looking at a privileged access management solution and system capability is very much ensuring that it's built on a modern architecture and that means that we're able to future proof it moving forward as well.
Some of the benefits that we've seen from a tangible point of view as being the hundreds of users that we have migrated from the Dispatch, our legacy technologies, those were multiple solutions onto a unified single pane of glass.
Not only is that supplemented with thousands of assets that are now on that platform as well.
And that's made our lives and our operational teams lives a lot more easier to do what they need to do every day.
Partnership for us is critical.
It doesn't just apply for our operational, engineering and technical teams, but it needed to extend right up to the top to ensure that we have the right relationships at the executive level as well.
